It’s my pleasure to announce that Vaadin Framework 8.3.0 is now out and ready for general usage. As discussed in the previous beta blog entry, the most significant enhancements are in the integration libraries to Spring and CDI. Also, many components have received nice improvements.

To take advantage of the latest integration libraries, you can just upgrade your vaadin-bom dependency to 8.3.0, which declares both Vaadin CDI and Vaadin Spring libraries to the most recent version. If you use explicit version numbers, both Vaadin Spring and Vaadin CDI should use version 3.0.0.

What’s up next?

The next feature release is scheduled for the 25th of April. If you have ideas of what should be included, start lobbying your ideas via GitHub now. We're happy to have had so many community contributions lately make it into the releases and are looking forward to yours in the next one as well!

Bugfix releases will be delivered for the 8.3 series in the usual manner.
