The first monthly sprint of the Vaadin Directory Compo 2010 is over. Currently we have over a hundred of high-quality add-ons available in the Vaadin Directory. Very impressive!
But this was a competition. Ranked by the number of downloads and level of ratings the best was to get a hot new Apple iPad...
April 2010 Winner: Toolkit Productivity Tools by Dmitri Livotov
Congratulations! The first winner comes from St Petersburg, Russia. Working for Alee Software, Dmitri Livotov has been using Vaadin for some time now. Along the way he has created his own set of open-source, reusable Java widgets for Vaadin known as Toolkit Productivity Tools (or TPT for short). Dmitri has been maintaining TPT well and the add-on reached total 670 points based on steady stream of downloads and consistently high ratings.
As the project page at Google Code says: "TPT is extra collection of common patterns, widgets and utilities you usually use in almost any vaadin-based web application".
Good demos are essential for add-ons. Saying this, you can get a good overview of this add-on by taking look at the online demos at http://demo.stor-m.ru/tpt-demo.
