I’m excited to announce that a new course has been added to our training offerings. Vaadin Framework & Java EE is the fourth course available, along with Vaadin Fundamentals, Advanced Vaadin and Extending Vaadin.

The course has a two day program and is directed towards those who know the basics of Vaadin but have little to no experience with Java EE. It will teach you the basics of CDI, EJB, JPA and JAAS and show you how to integrate these into your Vaadin application. With these tools at hand, you’ll be ready to build scalable and maintainable enterprise Vaadin applications.

First trainings will be held on September 7th to 8th in Turku, Finland, October 5th to 6th in Münich, Germany and December 7th to 8th in Düsseldorf, Germany. They are held in conjunction with Advanced Vaadin and Extending Vaadin. The courses are also available Online in autumn. You can enroll to the course at the training page.

Course content:

  • Introduction to Java EE
  • Using CDI with Vaadin
  • MVP and CDI
  • Using EJBs in the backend
  • Integrating with database using JPA in Vaadin applications
  • Bean validation
  • Integrating with security (JAAS and Shiro)
