7.4.0.beta1 Grid: Autoscale columns on Grid resize?

Hi together!

I just played a little bit with the new Grid component in 7.4.0 beta1. Great API and great performance!

But I have to questions:

  • I was not able to activate autoscaling of columns when the Grid itself is resized in width. Is it possible?
  • It is no longer possible for the user to resize the columns. Is this correct?

Hi Oliver,

The lack of autoresize should be fixed before the final 7.4.0 release :slight_smile: Unfortunately, user-resizable columns will most probably pushed back to Vaadin 7.5.

Aight, good to know. Kind on the same topic, will it ever possible to have columns smaller then the content? It can somewat achievable with CSS it would be awesome to have a way to have “expand ratio” capabilities without it to default as content size at minimum :slight_smile:
