I am an amateur history buff.
Over centuries, numerous temples in India, were demolished by foreign invaders.
Recently I read a scholarly book about it, and decided to turn the relevant information into an interactive map.
This now lives in the cloud as Devalay (translation: Hindu Temple)
Note: This is hosted on the Google Cloud Run free tier, so the initial lag is expected
Built using Vaadin 25.2.1 + Mapbox
Clicking on any marker, brings up more information about it.
Interestingly, to get the og: tags for the preview card working, I had initially used the recommended
settings.addMetaTag("og:title", "Devalay - Scars of a Civilisation");
settings.addMetaTag("og:description", "Mapping temple destruction across India through history.");
Unfortunately, this translates to <meta **name** which doesn’t work
<meta name="og:title" content="Devalay - Scars of a Civilisation" />
<meta name="og:description" content="Mapping temple destruction across India through history." />
Eventually ended up explicitly adding the <meta **property** in the index.html, which I am not really happy about.
Any workarounds?
