Copilot looks intresting, should help, but…
AI… I understand this hype about AI, but also thinking on wider picture. So

  1. What information copilot collecting and storing?
  2. Where this data is stored?
  3. Do you use external AI like chatGPT or others?
  4. If not ad 3, do you share any data with external companies? if yes, what data?
  5. In case you store and share data, does copilot working without using it? does he sending any data?
  6. In case, how to turn off copilot/remove it from project?

In a nutshell:

  1. Copilot is storing AI prompts for 30 days for our own purposes
  2. AI prompts are stored in our private database
  3. Yes
  5. Yes, Copilot can work with AI disabled
  6. You can turn off AI on demand (contact Vaadin support based on your license). You can turn off statistics (https://vaadin.com/docs/latest/flow/configuration/properties). You can also disable Copilot by yourself https://vaadin.com/docs/latest/tools/copilot.
