Eclipse plugin: is maven support discontinued?

Good day.

I don’t understand Vaadin Eclipse plugin should support or no maven projects?

I have an old Eclipse build from version 4.4.2 with Vaadin plugin 2.3.7 and it works well with maven project, it can compile widgetset, can create example projects.

Now I’m trying to create new fresh eclipse build with version 4.5 or 4.6 (Mars, Neon). I tried to install plugin from marketplace and from https://vaadin.com/eclipse. Eclipse installs version 2.3.9.
And this version seems strange to me. It doesn’t propose to create maven project and have strange icon in toolbar.

Is plugin installtion broken or it has been reverted to IvyIDE based version?

I think the story was that plugin version 2.3.7 got released accidentally with unstable version of Maven support. The official release is still pending some improvements and gets released in version 2.4.
