Already from the beginning of the month it was clear that this was battle between two add-ons. Both GWT Graphics and AppFoundation have a big fan base and it was not until the last day the winner was clear. On the final day GWT Graphics managed to collect total 550 points pushing ahead and taking the iPad of the month - and for a good reason.

Cross-browser Vector Graphics with GWT

As the project page at Google Code says, "GWT Graphics provides a consistent cross-browser vector graphics library for Google Web Toolkit. GWT Graphics uses SVG and VML for creating graphics." Especially the wide browser support makes it very suitable solution for web graphics both for Vaadin and GWT users.

GWT Graphics is not a new project and already several other Vaadin add-ons like ProcessingSVG and Screensaver use it for the graphics part. And I'm pretty sure they won't be the last ones.

New Add-ons Keep Coming

The total number of add-ons grows continuously. Currently total 120 add-ons are available for Vaadin users! That means that on average two new add-ons for Vaadin is created every week. Nice thing is that all of them are open source.

Take a look at the latest add-on updates and pick your favourites. If you can't find anything good anough, you can always create a new one.
