If you write your message and then click “Add Attachment” the thread content will be deleted and you have to re-type it. At least it’s been happening for me consistently today, I don’t remember ever having this issue in the forums before…

Thank you for your report. It’s clearly a regression that needs to be fixed 
Just thought you guys would like to know. This is a great forum and anything I can do to help keep it of such high quality is my pleasure
