Unfortunately it seems to work no longer properly with Vaadin >= 7.7.16. The hierarchy feature is broken since the Vaadin 7.7.16 update.

I have a guess what could be the reason and I updated that in the ticket.

I updated version 0.7.8 in Directory, which is fixed to work with 7.7.16+
