For those of you who are eagerly waiting for Java 1.5 for your client side widgets…
I have already been experimenting a bit with beta releases of GWT 1.5 and Toolkit. Everything is not working out of the box, but I have got Toolkit compiling and running with rather small changes.
Yesterday it even got better with Milestone 2

as their compilation removed std directory. With Milestone 2 GWT also gave us some eye candy for free (animated floating objects).
So we are ready to shift to 1.5 quickly when final stabile release is done.
