Hi,
Yesterday evening I rolled out a new version of an application to Production and the people this morning saw this error popping up.
Apparently the minimum browser requirements have changed
This is a Raspberry Pi with an Electron app opening the URL. (Yes, I forgot to test it on the actual device. #shame)
Is there something I can do without upgrading to a newer Electron version?
PS: no worries, I was able to roll back in no time
You can override the page to get around it if the problem is misdetection. But otherwise Vaadin nowadays detects features and not browser versions, so likely it means that at least something will break if you override it
hmmm, ok thanks for your feedback @winsome-wombat
I will give it a try. I don’t find anything in the server logs that helps to explain the reason. So I guess it will be trial and error.
If your Browser doesn’t support this feature https://caniuse.com/mdn-api_csslayerblockrule it shows the above text
Ok thanks, we decided the right thing to do is to update our Pi’s to support a newer version of Electron (>= 18.0.0) and roll that out company wide. We never had a better reason to do it
Quite risky as the whole warehouse runs on this.
Thanks for your help in figuring this out!
