No rating yet, as I am still evaluating it.
My question is: it seems ti runs under Vaadin 8 only under the Vaadin7 compatibility components.
Any plans to fully move to Vaadin 8 components such as Grid?

There already is MGrid that uses the latest V8 compatible Grid. There is also MGrid that extends the V7 compatibility component, in the separate Viritin-Compatibility add-on: https://vaadin.com/directory/component/viritin-compatbility
