I submitted a pull request (https://github.com/berndhopp/resetbuttonvaadin8/pull/2) that fixes the issues reported above. Liferay not showing the icon and issues with widget sets not called ‘AppWidgetSet’. Waiting for the author to process the request and make a new version of this addon.
