I really like this add-on, it’s very useful and it provides wide options for tooltips, but would you please consider building it for Java 8?
Unfortunately we are stuck on Java 8 for the time being and it would make our lives easier. Otherwise we’re forced to fork the project and maintain the Java 8 version ourselves. Thank you.

Two years ago a similar question has been posted.

Version 2.1.2 reenables Java 1.8 support.
The changes required were pretty minor.
