I have the same issue... The component would not show when I use the dependency in maven. Strangely enough it will work, when you copy paste only the class of the Signature_Pad into your project. I know that this isn't the cleanest way to go, but in my case it works just fine.
vaadin.whitelisted-packages=de/f0rce/signaturepad
in your application.properties will help
