Hi Tatu,
this add-on is really what i was looking for.
Unfortunately i can’t make it work if the grid is in a Liferay portlet.
I’m using Liferay 7.1 and vaadin 8.5.1 .
What could be the reason?

This may not be related add-on actually. I would recommend to upgrade to Vaadin 8.8.2 and test if you get it working then. There is some known issues in older Vaadin 8.5.x and 8.6.x versions with Líferay 7.x series.
