I think it would be helpful if the documentation were to include the EditColumnConfiguration.withManualRefresh() method going forward.

Today I spent half a day discovering that an automatic refresh was being performed after my manual refresh. The automatic refresh overwrote the new instance in the DataCommunicator with the old instance. (possible coming from the ListDataProvider)

Here’s an example where automatic refresh must be disabled:

grid.addEditColumn(Person::getName)
    .withManualRefresh()
    .text(
        (person, newValue) -> {
            person.setName(newValue);
            Person savedPerson = personService.save(person);
            grid.getListDataView().refreshItem(savedPerson);
        })
