The problem is that the Menu annotation does not support localization. So if you need something basic, like translating menu entries, you have to customize the menu. Would it be difficult to add a titleKey attribute to the annotation that can be used in getTranslation while building the menu? Or even without changing the Menu annotation itself, if the value is prefixed e.g. with # it can be treated as a resource key. The same applies to the PageTitle annotation.
