Hi everyone,
We know that in enterprise Java environments, a “minor” version bump is rarely just a one-line change in your pom.xml. Dependency synchronization with Spring Boot, internal QA cycles, and regression testing can make even small updates a significant task.
To give you more stability on your own terms, we’ve expanded our Extended Maintenance (EM) program to cover individual minor versions of Vaadin 24.
What’s changing? You can now lock your app to a specific minor version (e.g., 24.2 or 24.7) and receive:
- Backported Security Patches: Critical CVE fixes applied directly to your version.
- 15-Year Support: Long-term peace of mind for your Vaadin 24 stack.
- Zero Forced Upgrades: Stay on your current Java/Spring/Jakarta EE baseline until you’re ready to move.
Your options:
- Stay on the latest minor: Standard maintenance remains free (e.g., 24.9+).
- Stay on an older minor: Activate Extended Maintenance (included in the Enterprise Tier) to secure your specific version for the long haul.
