is there anyone who uses AI locally to instruct the AI to build views?
Which AI do you use and how does the Tool Setup looks like?
I am thinking about to try the Spec Drivern Development, but i am not quite sure, which Tools i should use. I have Chatgpt Pro, but also could switch to another AI like Copilot, Junie in IntelliJ or what ever.
Would like to get some input of real usages
I can answer the question by myself. I have integrated Claude and its mind blowing!
I have modernized my whole app views within less then 12 hours (typing, collecting ideas etc. Waiting time for claude not included) for 40 Views. Without claude it would have taken 5 month or more. Now they are more modern and responsive.
As well i have changed an API from REST to GraphQL within 1hour. Which would me take several weeks.
Ok, here i must tell i am not familar with GraphQL i rely on Claude. I understand what he did, but i would not be able to debug it using Postman or anything else. But it works perfectly.
And i migrated from Vaadin24.3.x to 25 in less then 1 hour.
Guess how many lines of code i needed to write with my fingers? Less then 10! The rest was generated by claude in a almost perfect way! I gave it Jobs, where i thought ok this you will not get done without requests, but no…he just did it.
I will now use it for all my tasks and see where it will reach its limit. But i think the limit is not time, not Claude, its just feedback of my users which is not coming in so fast in order to create new features.
Ah and last but not least, i let it update my Kotlin Android App and told him to add a view for ordermanagement and he should also create the endpoints in the backend project. Guess what worked almost out of the box :D

With this setup i now will have a performance boost of minimum 300%. Guys. This. Is. Crazy! All this work i have done in a weekend, but it felt not like working. Its less frustrating, more fun and stunning what this AI is doing. But at the other hand i am scared.
How do you think about it?
