DateField customization

Hello,

I wanna to customize DateField component, i wanna the start & end date to be changed and the rendering of the days to be changed according to some calculations, in other words i wanna implement new calender (Hijri), i dont wanna use the default one (gregorian)

i dont know how to start, is there any way to use the existing component and overide it???

You can either:

  1. Create your own Server-side class, client-side class and connector all extending the Datefield Classes. This way you can override non-protected and non-private methods in these new classes without actually having to rewrite the entire classes.
  2. Get the source code from for example
    here
     and copy them into your new classes. This way you can completly customize your code but you also have tut have to copy the entire code.
