Bringing MenuItem to the front

How to bring this menuItem to the front and bring the Bottom border of a Horizontal layout located next to this to the back?

You can see now how it is misleading. So trying to bring the menuItem to the front but no luck

It was due to the z-index value I had on the Horizontal layout. Removing that fixed the issue
