Right. I can understand that Android (Java or not) is key factor here, but also experienced less “resistance” using Java in other development lately too (Java was apparently becoming very old-fashioned while ago). And there are nice JVM language options available today (compatible with Java), but actually despite the shortcomings of Java as a language it is also getting more and more productive. Mostly thanks to ever increasing number of tools and libraries.
