I am observing periodic / occasional browser crashes on the iPad when running Vaadin applications on Safari and Chrome browsers. These applications work perfectly on Safari and Chrome on the desktop (MacOS and Windows)
A very easy way to reproduce the crash is to use the browser zoom in / out (pinch out / in), and in 5 out of 10 cases, I observe the crash in < 15 sec, if I repeatedly use zoom in / out (pinch out / in). The browser crash invariably happens on zoom out (pinch in). I have tried this with multiple Vaadin applications, even sample applications.
I have been sending the Chrome crash log from ‘General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnostic & Usage Data’ to ‘ios-crash-reports@chromium.org’, but have not heard anything from them.
Have others faced similar issues, and if so what is the best workaround to prevent the occurance of these crashes?
