It would be great if the vaadin site software could remember one’s “items per page” setting. It’s really annoying, having to increase it every time I go to a long thread.

If you choose the “Combination view” (one of the small icons on the right), the whole thread will be shown on one page.
The forum portlet is not implemented by us, but I hope someone has the time to fix or replace it sometime in the soon - there are several quite nasty problems at least in the current version. The worst is probably that it can lose text from the beginning to the document until the cursor position when using the toolbar icons.
