Unable to run or debug Vaadin Roo project in STS

Hi All:

In the current version of the STS IDE, version 3.1.0 I am unable to run or debug my Vaadin roo application from within the STS IDE. In STS, the Vaadin project does not appear has a resource that can be deployed to a server.

Any idea what’s going on here. Also the “Deployment Assembly” action under project properties does not appear in STS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Additional information: Spring Roo version is 1.2.2 and Vaadin version is 6.7.6

Oghie, did you ever get this resolved?

I am running STS 3.2.0.RELEASE, with Vaadin 7.0.4 and Vaadin Plugin-for Eclipse 2.1.1.201302181316

The plugin creates the scaffolding for a Vaadin 7.0.4 project and will compile Widgetsets. However, unlike a maven project, there is no obvious way to launch the created web application.

In STS with Vaadin Plugin for eclipse it is simple to get this running. On the Servers view, right-click on the server node and select the ‘Add and Remove…’ option. Add your Vaadin project to the server. Then click the start server button.
