Vaadin in the cloud (openshift) is very slow

Hi everyone,

I started to deploy in to cloud and it’s very slow. Initial loading between 10 and 25 secounds. The pod have enough resources and there is no difference when I scale up.

I’ve also tried an other, random vaadin app I’ve found on github. The same problem.
JEE apps without Vaadin loads in a appropriate time.

It runs on wildfly 14.

Has someone experience with Vaadin on openshift and may has encountered the same problem?

Hey, did you find the cause for the slow loading?
Please verify that you are deploying and running your Vaadin App with a “pre-compiled theme”. In production mode having a pre-compiled theme is a most!!
