Reading barcode

Hi,

Is possible do an application in Vaadin that it can read from a barcode reader instead keyboard or from magnetic cards or chip card?

Any access outside the browser is protected by the browsers themselves (browser sandboxing); you need something like a signed Java applet to access USB devices. You can then integrate these into your Vaadin app with different means.
