TouchKit 2.0 - Desktop Icon - Appstore

Hi there!

I’ve two simple questions:

  1. the Mail App Desktop link for the demo Mail App has a Icon - how can i setup an Desktop Icon?
  2. Appstore - how can i put my vaadin Touchkit Application in the Apple Appstore?

It is bit sad, but apple is currently keeping web apps as a second class citizen, although they started with completely opposite strategy (only web apps were allowed initially). I guess app store with native apps is quite good business for them and kind of locks users to their platform. So the answer is you cannot add web apps to the app store as is. As a workaround you should use a wrapper application that practically displays an embedded full screen browsers that shows your application. PhoneGap is one good framework to help with this approach.
