They weren’t documented very clearly though when we upgraded to the latest version of Vaadin, leading to this confusion
(or we missed it completely when upgrading)
It would be very helpful if you can provide a link to the confusing docs and/or open a ticket on the documentation repository
Nothing is really mentioned about the pre-compiled dev-bundle in https://vaadin.com/docs/latest/upgrading.
It is mentioned shortly here https://github.com/vaadin/platform/releases/tag/24.0.0
But a mention about the changes to the maven plugin in the upgrade doc would have been handy
