AppJars Email Manager - Vaadin Add-on Directory

Reliable email delivery for Vaadin apps: queue messages in the database, send them in the background, recover failed sends from the UI and track every email sent. Commercial AppJar with a free mode. AppJars Email Manager - Vaadin Add-on Directory
> **Licensing:** this add-on is a thin wrapper licensed under **Apache 2.0**. It contains no code of its own and simply pulls in the **Email Manager AppJar** modules, which are **commercial software** distributed under the [AppJars Software License Agreement](https://www.appjars.com/legal/license/v1/). You can use Email Manager for free in **free mode** (up to 5 emails sent per day; emails over the limit stay queued until the next day). A license removes all limits. See [Licensing](https://docs.appjars.com/licensing/). **Email Manager** decouples email generation from delivery by queuing outgoing messages in your application's database, with an administration UI built with Vaadin Flow. The queue is sent in the background on the schedule your application chooses, every failed send keeps the reason it failed, and administrators can monitor delivery status, recover failed messages and review the history of sent emails. ## Features - **Database-backed queue:** emails are persisted immediately and survive application restarts, so pending messages are sent once the system is back online. - **Background delivery:** a `MailSenderService` sends queued emails in batches, scheduled through Process Manager or a Spring `@Scheduled` method. - **Operator-controlled recovery:** a failed send stores its error on the email; from the list an operator can read it, correct the message and send it immediately or put it back in the queue. - **Complete delivery history:** track every email through its statuses (Created, Pending, Sent, Failed) with timestamps and failure details. - **Full composition:** To, Cc and Bcc recipients, plain-text or HTML bodies with preview, configurable attachments (up to five of 25 MB each by default) and a choice of sender addresses. - **In-app sending API:** send an email immediately or enqueue it from anywhere in your code through `EmailService`. ## Installation If your project doesn't declare it yet, add the Vaadin add-ons repository: ```xml vaadin-addons https://maven.vaadin.com/vaadin-addons ``` Add the dependency. The wrapper declares the AppJars repository (`https://maven.appjars.com`), so Maven resolves the modules automatically: ```xml org.vaadin.addons.appjars appjars-email-manager 2.0.2 ``` - **Gradle** ignores repositories declared in dependency POMs, so add `maven { url "https://maven.appjars.com" }` to your repositories. - **Nexus/Artifactory mirroring everything (`mirrorOf *`):** your administrator needs to add a proxy for `https://maven.appjars.com`. Then follow the [Getting started guide](https://docs.appjars.com/email-manager/getting-started/). ## Requirements - Java 21 - Vaadin 25.2 - Spring Boot 4.1 - An SMTP server, configured through Spring Boot's `spring.mail.*` properties ([details](https://docs.appjars.com/email-manager/developer-guide/#mail-server)) - JPA / Hibernate ## Included dependencies | Artifact | License | |---|---| | `com.appjars:appjars-email-manager-flow` | AppJars Software License Agreement v1 (commercial) | | `com.appjars:appjars-email-manager-business-impl` | AppJars Software License Agreement v1 (commercial) | | `com.appjars:appjars-email-manager-data-impl` | AppJars Software License Agreement v1 (commercial) | These modules transitively bring in the rest of the Email Manager modules and `appjars-*-utils` (same commercial license), plus open-source libraries such as Vaadin add-ons by Flowing Code (Apache 2.0). ## Links - [Product page](https://www.appjars.com/catalog/email-manager/) - [Documentation](https://docs.appjars.com/email-manager/overview/) - [Demo application](https://github.com/AppJars/email-manager-demo) - [Licensing and free mode](https://docs.appjars.com/licensing/) AppJars are built and maintained by [Flowing Code](https://www.flowingcode.com).

AppJars Email Manager version 2.0.2
A patch release, with a fix to access control on the email list. #### Fixes - The **email list** can now be opened by any authenticated user. It was denied to every user when no access rule of the host application matched its route; restricting it to a role remains the host application's responsibility.
