Finland Public administration
The daily working environment is rapidly changing for knowledge-intensive industry workers. The need for more communication and exchanging of information between different parties is increasing, and at the same time the workforce is decreasing. Exchanging information or collaborating is often leading to a number of manual steps to add needed information to the correct system for further handling and management. These general and high level challenges can in many situations be solved by using a modern Case Management system that integrates to a number of systems using standardized API's and showing the information to the user in an easy and understandable way.
Fujitsu CaseM is a new, modern and modular Case and Document Management system developed for organizations with strict requirements for information handling. CaseM can be used by a number of different types of organizations – from governmental or municipal organizations to enterprises, anywhere where information management is crucial for the business.
By using CaseM, an organization can streamline the work process, gather different type of information around a case, easily get an overview of what has been done and what should be done in the near future and by whom. By using a smart classification system, different types of processes can be defined and dynamically shown to a user in a comprehensive way. Furthermore, CaseM controls all documents, records and tasks attached to a case in a similar way.
CaseM was from the beginning planned with the user – the information worker – in the center. We started to gather functionality, processes etc. around the user. To achieve the goal we selected Vaadin Framework as the base for a user friendly, new and modern user interface that works on any device.
"Vaadin framework gave us configurable components that allowed us to develop a case management system with a completely new approach."
