stange NPE error without a clue

Hello

I have 2 so called master-detail layouts, and occasionally I get “Internal Error” system messages

and after that I cannot log out or refresh the page or logout

In the error logs I have the following:

what can cause this error?
how can I fix it?
in case of “internal error” how can I logout or restart the application ? ( how can I easily terminate the current session and its data without closing the browser/close all opened tabs)

Hi,

Correct me if I am wrong (some code of yours would be nice to see), you have a Label inside of your layout that is bound to the property of some container. Seems like that property does not exist at the moment when the label tries to paint itself and that causes NPE. Given some more details more precise solution might be achieved.

It looks a bit like a data binding problem. You probably have a IndexedContainer in the master view and a Label to display some field in the details view. For some reason, when trying to get the value of the field, the item is not available. Perhaps the item is deleted from the container but the detail view still tries to show it?
