RFC: Table as an Interface

or my application I am using a number addons:

  • TableExporter
  • FilteringTable
  • ContextMenu

Each addon on their own is great, but to get them to work properly together requires quite a bit of engineering effort. It would be a step in the right direction if the addons had a common way to define a Table. So for example if Vaadin core can define an interface that can be used for that would make my life easier, and I guess for others as well.

I totally agree! Unfortunately since the Grid is on its way out, I don’t believe there will be such drastic changes to the Table anymore. For the foreseeable future we’ll just have to live with the current situation :(.
