It would be really nice if there were readme files or descriptions for the various projects in contrib and incubator. Having to check out the project and run it to figure out what it does and whether there is useful stuff in there is somewhat painful.
100% agreed. Everyone - if you have an incubator project - PLEASE do write a short readme.txt for it. One line today is better than pushing this for tomorrow.
