I noticed, that Vaadin Applications are noticeable slower in Firefox than for example in for example in IE 9. This is very surprising for me as I thought that Firefox should be much faster in JS execution. I’m using the newest Firefox.
If a resize the Firefox window much CPU is used while the table recalculates it size. It is also slow and stutters.
If I do the same thing with my IE 9 it is much faster and smoother.
Yeah, the newest FF seems very slow. Then again, I’ve found the newest(s) FFs to be unusually slow for a while now… I can’t use it as my primary browser anymore since it eats all my memory and cycles. Something in the JS engine is seriously broken in there. Running Win7 64bit.
I’m using Firefox for years and on my pc it runs perfectly.
The JavaScript performance is overall great and gets better on every new Release. JavaScript Benchmarks also confirm this.
I really think this could be a Vaadin related Problem because I never noticed such a big noticeable difference between Browsers. And again I used Internet Explorer 9 not the current much faster IE 10.
