Vaadin XS on IE8

Dear Vaadin community,

I would like to start using Vaadin XS to incorporate a small application in a corporate site.
First I checked the blog:

and figured out, that the example application from this Blog works in the FF 17 and IE 9 but not in the IE8 and Chrome 23.x. I assume that the example application might be not up to date.

Could somebody confirm that this add-on works with IE8 and chrome?

I didn’t try it in IE8 but maybe you have to download and compile (
mvn install
) the addon from SVN (http://dev.vaadin.com/svn/addons/XS). The one from maven (or addon’s site) is outdated.
