As some of you may already know, I started writing a book about Vaadin 8 for Packt Publishing almost a year ago. After inevitable hindrances and changes in the scope and schedule, the book is almost ready now and we are looking for Technical Reviewers who are experts in Vaadin Framework 8. If you want your biography included in the first pages of the book, please let me know.
In short, the reviewing process would go like this:
- Packt sends you a chapter and corresponding example’s source code.
- You read through the chapter and critically check that the content is accurate and follows Pack’s guidelines. Basically, you ensure that the content has good quality at the technical level by making comments and suggestions on the chapter’s text.
- You send the chapter back to Packt and the process starts again.
Here’s the outline (chapters) of the book:
- Creating new Vaadin projects
- Modularization and main screens
- Implementing server-side components with internationalization
- Implementing authentication and authorization
- Connecting to SQL databases
- Implementing CRUD user interfaces
- Adding reporting capabilities
- Lazy loading
