IBM RAD 8.0 installation fails
Hello,
I'm tying to install Vaadin plug-in into RAD 8.0 (Eclipse 3.6.2) on RHEL 64 bit. I get the error bellow (it's looking for SWT source?). I tried it on the same machine with Eclipse for JEE developers V3.7 and I had no problem there. Did anybody succeed in installing Vaadin on RAD 8?
The error:
Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software currently installed: Shared profile 1.0.0.1332774467473 (SharedProfile_bootProfile 1.0.0.1332774467473)
Missing requirement: Shared profile 1.0.0.1332774467473 (SharedProfile_bootProfile 1.0.0.1332774467473) requires 'org.eclipse.swt.gtk.linux.x86_64.source [3.6.3.v3659d]' but it could not be found
Regards, Bernard
Classic, you have to start RAD as root and then it's OK.
