Possible Linux/Ubuntu issues on Excel Table Export Addon

Hi,
Firstly, thanks for making such a marvelous Addon (Excel Table Export). The API is wonderfully simple and clear.

However, I am having what looks like a browser / operating system issue: It all appears to work flawlessly, except when downloading the XLS file using Chrome on Ubuntu 11.10.

The file dialog box opens, but there is no way to save the file, it just seems to be stuck in "select directory" mode and does not allow the actual file download.

Any suggestions welcome (other than use Windows, not a popular option ;-) ).

EDIT: Somehow this post got disconnected from the forum thread for the Excel Table Export. Sorry for the confusion.
