Standard Icons and Fontawesome Icons dont work in toolbar

When I try to add an icon to a button in a toolbar it doesn’t work!
button.setIcon(FONTAWESOME.share) or
button.setIcon(new ThemeResource(…path/mysymbol.png))
No complaints about not finding resource, so I assume something else
