I want to use the VOverlay in my vaadin app. I am using version 7.3.7.
My problem is, that i get a
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.vaadin.client.ui.VOverlay
when i use the VOverlay in the source code.
VOverlay vo = new VOverlay(false, false);
vo.setTitle("Titel");
vo.show();
I thought the VOverlay is directly in the vaadin jar. Or is it a seperate addon?

It should be in vaadin-client*.jar .
Where are you using this code? How do you compile the widgetset?

i use it in an CustomComponent which implements the View Interface.
vaadin-client*. jar is already placed in the deployment package.
Compilation is done during the ivy build.
Where do you see that error? In your browser log? Could you show more code and more log entries?

In the moment i use a Sub Window instead the overlay. For my purpose it is enough.
You cannot use VOverlay on the server-side, it’s a client-side class.
