Vaadins data model vs other server-side RIA's

Hi all,

I’m trying to find out how Vaadin’s data model and data binding differs from other server-side frameworks such as zk and echo. This is somewhat hard for me since I have no experience with other frameworks than Vaadin.

To me it seems like, unlike the approach of a general container for many components that Vaadin uses, zk and echo uses separate interfaces for components such as table and list.

Is there anyone with experience in other frameworks than Vaadin that can comment on this? This is not a discussion about whats better and worse, I’m simply interested in a objective view of the differences/similarities.

Thanks in advance,
Johan
