Vaadin 7.1.17 problems with different browser

I’m using both browser Firefox and Chrome at last versions on windows 10.
I run the same application from the same application server.
The same application behaves in a different way.
In chrome a value change more is issued and the changed value is truncated (in respect to true value) when the form is opened and values are shown (no human operation).
In firefox the same operation works.
Is there a known problem, is there a workaround ?

This description sounds a bit vague. Can you tell more, e.g. which component is having the issue? Do you have simplified code example?

The component having the problem is a textarea.
Is quite difficult to be “more precise” I debugged the ValueChangeListener an I found, in the identical situation, that in chrome, when the form is shown, before the user changes anything, the valuechange fires and in firefox it doesn’t.
In the vcl, when chorme fires it, I read the property value and I found it truncated.
In “normal” situations everithing is ok.

I tried to replicate the issue with the following up with Vaadin 7.7.17, but I could not reproduce it.

public class MyUI extends UI {

    protected void init(VaadinRequest vaadinRequest) {
        final VerticalLayout layout = new VerticalLayout();
        final TextField name = new TextField();
        name.setCaption("Type your name here:");

        Button button = new Button("Click Me");
        button.addClickListener( e -> {
            layout.addComponent(new Label("Thanks " + name.getValue()
                    + ", it works!"));

        TextArea textArea = new TextArea("Text");
        textArea.addValueChangeListener(event -> {
        layout.addComponents(name, button, textArea);

    @WebServlet(urlPatterns = "/*", name = "MyUIServlet", asyncSupported = true)
    @VaadinServletConfiguration(ui = MyUI.class, productionMode = false)
    public static class MyUIServlet extends VaadinServlet {
