GitHub Dependabot created a PR to update my projects to 24.6.0.
It’s available in Maven Central: Maven Central: com.vaadin:vaadin-core
But this is not yet officially released?
What happened?
It’s a work in progress.
We typically push the artifacts to Maven Central the day before we do the “marketing launch” just to make sure everything is in place.
I see, but this is an issue when using Dependabot or Renovate, as the bot will create a PR, and you will not find any release notes. At least the release notes should be ready when the new version is released to Maven central.
It’s just as confusing if release notes are published but the artifacts are not available. We should publish both at exactly the same time but that’s challenging in other ways instead…
In my opinion, it will still be the same time within a few hours. But I got the PR yesterday, and the release notes are still missing. And in the meanwhile I have five PRs…
