Table contents disappear in Vaadin table

I am using Vaadin version 6.8.10 and creating portlets in Liferay version 6.1. I have a table with read-only data and links on some of the ite,s displayed that show more detailed data below. This works fine in FF and chrome. However, in IE sometimes when I click on a link(from the table) the table contents disappear from the table. I have to scroll (lazy-load) to reload any data.

Has anyone come across this or should I file a bug report for this?

Thanks in advance.

haven’t run into anything like this. To note the issue, please create a ticket at
the vaadin trac
preferably with a detailed explanation or some example code, thanks.

Hi Riley,

I am not sure it’ll help you, but you can try to override writeAjaxPageHtmlHeader method in your ApplicationServlet.
Use the following code:

    protected void writeAjaxPageHtmlHeader(final BufferedWriter page,
            String title, String themeUri, final HttpServletRequest request)
            throws IOException {
        page.write("<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=utf-8\"/>\n");

        WebBrowser browser = getApplicationContext(request.getSession())
        if (browser.isIE()) {
            page.write("<meta http-equiv=\"X-UA-Compatible\" content=\"IE=edge\"/>\n");

        page.write("<style type=\"text/css\">"
                + "html, body {height:100%;margin:0;}</style>");

        // Add favicon links
        page.write("<link rel=\"shortcut icon\" type=\"image/\" href=\""
                + themeUri + "/favicon.ico\" />");
        page.write("<link rel=\"icon\" type=\"image/\" href=\""
                + themeUri + "/favicon.ico\" />");

        page.write("<title>" + safeEscapeForHtml(title) + "</title>");
