Loading Indicator

Is there a way to move the spinning loading indicator for a single component within a page? For example, a page with three panels, if the center panel is being interacted with, the spinner appears at the upper right corner of the center panel, if the left panel is being interacted with, the spinner appears at the upper right corner of the left panel, and so on? I’ve seen examples of moving it for the page in total, but never for individual parts. Is it possible?

Hi,

It might be doable by adding a distinct CSS class name to the UI when the user interacts with a certain part of the UI, and then move the spinner to some other position using absolute coordinates. This might not be very feasible, since the spinner wouldn’t show instantly, but only after the server responds back.

Another, more viable, option is to use something like the
Snappy add-on
and use that to add the style names to the components you want. This will happen directly on the client side and then you could remove the style name on the server side. Take a look at the Snappy
“Field Interactions” example
