Invient Charts: problem with Date Time Access

I am using Invient Chart and I am impressed with it final output, but I have few issues,
please find attached screenshot, you can see that

  • The center graph bar are aligned more towards Jun 7, but the data is actually for Jun 6
  • The Blue color Bar is wider then other, I am using Column Charts, why this is the case ? I haven’t set any witdht or parameters
  • Charts are not showing in Microsoft Internet Explorer, do I need to set anything special ?
  • Sometime the XY Access show the time, although I am only giving Date, can I set something which dictates charts that only Date interval should be shown in X- Access.

Also Can I add Vaadin Button in chart canvas ?

I would appreciate a quick answers …

Try setting “useUTC” option in highcharts JavaScript file.

Can you please provide sample data used to fill the Column chart? As far as I know there is a bug in underlying Highcharts library.

It should show up correctly. Are you compiling widgetset only for webkit browsers?

You can use BaseLineConfig.setPointInterval() method to set interval of the x values. For example, if a series contains one value every day then set pointInterval to 24 * 3600 * 1000.

As of now, it is not possible to add Vaadin button in charts canvas.

Thank you for your quick response, I will check and try to rectify issues based on your suggestions.

I am sorry, If I look very novice, but I don’t know much about JavaScript, exactly where should I set that option ?

I am not compiling widget Set for any specific browser, following is my XML.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE module PUBLIC "-//Google Inc.//DTD Google Web Toolkit 1.7.0//EN" "">
	<inherits name="com.vaadin.terminal.gwt.DefaultWidgetSet" />

    <inherits name="com.invient.vaadin.charts.widgetset.InvientChartsWidgetset" />

I got following error while try to running the chart in IE , it is running on other browsers.

avaScriptException: (TypeError): Cannot read property 'Chart' of undefined

Can you check if the highcharts JavaScript files have been loaded correctly?

I checked and High charts.js is loaded , even I am able to see the charts on IE 9, but when I switch document Mode to IE 8 or IE 7 (using developers tool of IE 9), The charts are stopped to being displayed.
Also they are not displaying in IE 8 also

Are you able to view InveintCharts demo application on IE 8 or 7?

My problem with IE 9 is solved, but I am still facing problem with Time Interval, I am using following code,

        LineConfig config = new LineConfig();
        config.setPointInterval(24 * 3600 * 1000.0);

but still the time is displaying if there are only 2/3 points. any suggestion, ?

Can you provide a sample code?
