How to write a converter for a table using two columns

Hi,
I’ve the following problem and maybe someone could help me.

I have a table with two columns, e.g.:

Key________| Value

Lang…| 9
Currency…| 10
Number…| 10

I want to write a converter to convert the number in the right column into something more convenient for the user. The example above should look for example like this:

Key________| Value

Lang…| English
Currency…| US-Dollar
Number…| 10

So, depending on the left column, the number in the right column has a different meaning. If the left column is “lang”, the number is a key to all my languages; if the left column is “currency”, the number is a key to all my currencies.

I know how to write a
com.vaadin.data.util.converter
but it takes only the current cell and I don’t have any information about the other cell.

Any ideas or hints how to solve that?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas

After some days, I found a suitable solution for my problem. I implemented a
com.vaadin.ui.Table.ColumnGenerator

and added it to my table as
addGeneratedColumn
.

Solved!
